Meals and Snacks Included at Our Houston Daycare
Food is included in tuition at First Kids Academy. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are served every day at no extra charge, which saves families both money and the 6:00 AM lunch-packing routine.
It also means every child eats the same meal at the same table, which quietly does a lot of good. Children try foods they would refuse at home, and nobody sits with an empty lunchbox.
What a day of eating looks like
Breakfast is served for children who arrive early. Lunch is a hot midday meal eaten family style, with staff sitting at the table modeling manners and conversation. An afternoon snack follows nap or rest time, and school-age children get a snack when they arrive from school.
Infants follow your schedule, not ours. We serve the formula or milk you provide on the timing your baby is used to, and we introduce solids only on your instruction.
Allergies and special diets
If your child has a food allergy, we keep a written emergency care plan on file and follow it at every meal. This is a state requirement and, more importantly, it is how a serious reaction gets prevented.
Tell us about religious or family dietary restrictions during enrollment and we will work with you. Many families in our community keep halal or vegetarian diets, and we take that seriously.

Why meals are not an add-on
Plenty of centers advertise a low daily rate and then charge separately for food, supplies, and late pickup. By the time you add it up, the number you were quoted is not the number you pay.
We would rather build food into tuition and quote you a real price. Half days are $30 and full days are $50, meals included.

Do I need to pack a lunch?
No. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are included in tuition. If your child has specific dietary needs, talk to us at enrollment and we will make a plan together.
How do you handle food allergies?
We keep a written food allergy emergency plan on file for any child with a known allergy, and staff follow it at every meal and snack.
Can you accommodate halal or vegetarian diets?
Tell us your family's requirements during enrollment and we will work with you. Many families in our community have dietary restrictions and we take them seriously.
