First Kids Academy is licensed by the state of Texas for transportation to and from school. We collect your child from campus, bring them back to our academy on Highway 6, and keep them safe, fed, and busy until you finish work.
How pickup works
You tell us your child's campus and dismissal time. Our staff arrives on the school's pickup schedule, checks your child in by name against our roster, and brings the group back to the academy.
Every child is signed in on arrival, and only the people you have authorized in writing can collect them at the end of the day. If your child is absent from school or gets picked up by you directly, one phone call keeps everyone on the same page.

If we do not currently run to your campus, tell us anyway. Route decisions are based on family demand, and we would rather know.
What happens after the ride
Afternoons start with a snack, because children come off the bus hungry. Then comes homework time with staff on hand to help, followed by outdoor play, games, and free choice until pickup.
We are open until 7:00 PM, which is later than most centers in southwest Houston. That extra hour is often the difference between making it comfortably and racing the clock.

How do you keep track of children during pickup?
Children are checked against our roster at the school and signed in again on arrival at the academy. At the end of the day, only adults on your written authorized pickup list can collect your child.
What happens on early release days?
Let us know in advance and we will adjust the run. Many families also use us for full-day care on school holidays and teacher workdays.
