Yes. First Kids Academy is a licensed child care center regulated by Texas Health and Human Services Child Care Regulation, Operation #1832784.

Search our operation number, 1832784, on the Texas HHS child care search site. Every inspection, finding, and correction for a licensed Texas operation is public information, for us and for every other center you tour.

Our caregivers maintain the annual training hours required by Texas child care rules, along with CPR and first aid certification, and all staff clear state background checks.

Only adults you have listed in writing on your authorized pickup list. Staff ask for identification when they do not recognize someone, every time, without exception.

Staff give first aid immediately and a trained caregiver stays with your child. We call you right away for anything beyond a minor scrape, and every incident is written up in a report you receive and sign at pickup. For anything serious we call emergency services first, then you, and licensing is notified as Texas rules require.

Children with a fever, vomiting, or a contagious condition need to stay home until they meet return-to-care guidelines. We will call you if your child develops symptoms during the day and keep them comfortable and separated until you arrive.

We administer medication only with written parental authorization, in the original labeled container, following the instructions on the label.

We follow Texas minimum standard ratios for every age group, which are strictest for infants. Ask us on your tour and we will show you the ratio for your child's specific room.
